An electrician in Whickham has taken home a massive prize including a brand new Audi plus £50,000 cash after becoming the latest winner of the infamous BOTB (Best Of The Best) giveaway. Carl Jordan, is the proud new owner of an Audi RS5 - valued at £73k - as well as £50,000 cash after entering the competition online. With the option of taking the value of the car in cash, the sparky decided that he wanted the keep the vehicle, saying to Chronicle Live “I've been after this car forever. I know a lot of people take the cash alternative but I'm taking the car. It's the perfect one-car garage.” "The wife is over the moon because she'll be driving it more than I will. She'll be seeing it as her car now!” And it won’t only be his wife profiting from the win, with the electrician planning on using his £50k cash prize to help his 18-year-old son out with his first car. “My son Scott is nearly 18 and he’s after a car so I’ll give him a helping hand.” "He's absolutely over the moon because he'll get something towards the second hand runabout that he wants. He's taking lessons at the minute and he's due to take his test soon.” Presenter Christian, who surprises winners every week, was thrilled to give Carl the good news.
