Man Dresses Up As A Construction Worker To Rob Bank

Posted: Thursday, April 22nd, 2021

If you were going to rob a bank, what would be your ‘go-to’ disguise?

All black clothes perhaps? A balaclava? Matching tracksuit?

Well a man in the US thought dressing up as a construction worker would be the perfect disguise to successfully rob a bank first thing in the morning… and it worked!

The incident occurred just after 9AM on Tuesday April 13, at Power Credit Union bank in the small city of Pueblo, Colorado, located about 100 miles south of Denver.

In security footage released from the bank and local news broadcasters, the man can be seen casually striding up to the bank wearing a bright yellow hardhat, high vis vest and something covering his face.

In a statement from City of Pueblo Police Department, officers reported that a male entered the bank and produced a note to a teller to tell them that they were being robbed.

Perhaps surprisingly for a story about US crime, no weapon was seen during the altercation and no one was harmed.

In further comments from the police, the suspect left the area in a silver 2-door car. He was described as skinny build, 6 foot, wearing a yellow construction helmet, orange reflective vest, black pants, black shoes, white long sleeve white shirt, red gloves, and wearing a grey gator neck that covered his nose and mouth.

They stated he was a "younger" male and had short blonde hair.

The man is still on the run and the investigation is ongoing.
