“Bet you can’t slide across that bit of ice lad?” That’s how we’re thinking the conversation went before plumber Liam Clarke attempted a late night stunt that ended with him smashing his face on the cold frozen cobblestones. In a video upload to twitter by Mr Clarke’s mate Jesse Pygott, the tradesman is seen gaining a run up as he attempts to casually glide across a frozen patch of ice on the side of the road. Seems simple enough. Perhaps unsurprisingly, shortly after taking off the plumber loses his balance and gets his foot caught on the icy cobblestones, quickly falling to the floor and breaking his fall with his face. Ouch. What a cracking idea from my boy last night😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 worst and best video there pic.twitter.com/hOflCRwo4t The sound of skull on road on impact is particularly sickening to listen to. Thankfully Liam was okay after the fall, with pictures uploaded to twitter later that evening confirming he’d made a ‘recovery’ but was now sporting a fresh wound on his face. The video has had over 22,000 likes and been retweeted 2,000 times. Speaking to Deadline News, the man behind the camera Jesse said ““We were at a rave called Animal Crossing on Saturday night, and all our other friends got a taxi afterwards and left us two.” Hes all good ladies n gents. He will most likely do something like that at weekend. pic.twitter.com/81nT9TPMMA “We couldn’t get another taxi booked so we decided to just run the 20 minute journey back to our hotel.” “On the way, we were on a random street in the centre of the city when we spotted that sheet of ice.” “Liam knocked himself out cold for like five seconds after he fell and he’d cut his head open just above his eye.” “He was really lucky to be fair, but he’s alright now. Knowing him he’ll probably be trying it again sometime soon.” Merry Christmas. (H/T Deadline News)
