Diversity dancers Ashley Banjo and Nathan Ramsey have started a new initiative in conjunction with Kingsmill to get the nation more active. The Kingsmillion challenge is a six-week event where, on Nathan Ramsey’s TikTok and Instagram page, a dance challenge will be set every week for six weeks. They spoke to Clive Holland on the Clive Holland Show, available to listen to from 2-4pm on Monday through to Thursday, where he started out by asking Ashley about the challenge and how it came about. Ashley said: “We [are] genuinely super excited [about it]. When Kingsmill came to us and said ‘Do we want to do a Kingmill and diversity collaboration?’, we were like ‘great!’." "So, we invented this challenge called the Kingsmillion dance challenge. We release dance moves one week to six weeks that you can all put together into one little dance and we're going to be dancing with people across that whole period." "So there’s a chance to get up, get active, have some fun, learn some dance moves and do something maybe out of your comfort zone” Clive went on to ask Ashley a little bit about how people on site can use this initiative to stay fit and healthy even when they’re working long hours and may not have the time to go running or go to the gym. Ashley went on to say: “Dancing a completely different kettle of fish because it doesn't feel like exercise. It's a social thing. It's something where you’re learning something new every time. You're dancing to music you love and learning a new skill and if you if you do it well, or even if you don’t, you’re looking and feeling good in the process.” You can catch interviews and great music on the Clive Holland Show, Monday to Thursday every week between 2-4pm.
