A builder is being hailed a hero in Hull after he rushed to rescue a woman who was trapped on the roof of a burning house. It was reported that two individuals were inside the premises on Folkestone Street, Hull, when the fire first started, and while one was rescued by fire crews who arrived at the scene after emergency calls were made, it was a builder who came to the rescue of the second person who managed to escape the blaze by claiming out the window and onto the roof of an extension. Witnessing the house up in the flames, the tradesman hurried to the scene - helping the woman safely climb down from the roof and out of harms way. As reported by Hull Live, a spokesman from Humberside Fire and Rescue said "There was a female that was rescued by a builder.” The blaze prompted a huge emergency response around Folkestone Streethttps://t.co/Yn6QUuED9K "She'd got off the flat roof extension and she was helped down by a passing builder.” The woman was take to hospital for a check-up, but thankfully suffered no injuries and was discharged shortly after.
